June 28, 2013, 1:31 pm They called me while at work, and I missed the call. When I called back, The automated message said it was "Verison Wireless" blah, blah, blah, and a lady picked up saying that she could verify my account with my name and birth day. I gave her no information and told her I was busy and would call back. I went online, checked the Number, and suprisingly, it was not a Verison Wireless phone number. Shocker! I know. So I called them back, got the same automated message and another lady picked up, except this time, she asked for my email and something else (dont't exactly remember). I then went ahead and blasted her about the fact that I had looked the number up and that it was not a Verison Wireless number and that she had asked me completely different questions to "Verify" my account. She then admitted that she was not with Verison, and that he company was there to market Verison's products (Seems Legit). Also, I pressed her about the fact that she was falsy identifiying herself as a Verison Wireless employee, and if she called me again, I would file a report. Watch out for this one guys and gals. May 23, 2014, 8:27 pm Actually this is a legitimate calling center number for Verizon Wireless. Its Verizon's promotional department. Sometimes you're eligible for discounts, early upgrades etc. If you ask to be put on the Do Not Call list, it does take Verizon up to 30 days to process the request. Also, call centers run on an automated dialer. Therefore, they cant physically control what number Verizon has put into the system for promotions. October 23, 2014, 9:48 am I saw the number come up on my caller ID, which I usually ignore, but I decided to be as annoying as the "Anonymous" caller typically is, so I spoke gibberish using a foreign accent and would not let the woman get a word in. I yelled loudly in gibberish each time she tried to speak then hung up. These callers are breaking the laws in so many ways and should be punished. Since my blocking list is full they will all be speaking in the future to an irate non-English speaking impostor. I had already spoken weeks ago to Verizon and told them I was not interested in an early upgrade, so if this was legit then they simply ignored my answer and do not deserve my time. November 24, 2014, 11:06 am Same as everyone else, repeated calls, never leaving a voicemail. Sometimes I answer and there's just breathing on the other line. They said they were Verizon promo or something like that, I told them I need to the calls to stop immediately, not in 30 days, and they said they'd see what they can do. Caller Company: Linda? April 2, 2015, 12:56 pm I verified with Verizon Wireless's fraud department this number is a scam. Be careful. If you're not on a newer or 4G phone, this could be an attempt to clone your phone. That's what happened to me. I was told by Verizon not to answer unknown phone numbers and NOT to call back any missed phone numbers back to see who the number belonged to. November 16, 2015, 9:56 am Received call from this number 855-869-9903 and ran it through a Google search. I work for an HVAC company and every call is important and when answered we assume that a customer is needing service. The phone picked up, but no answer and it sounded like it was set down again. December 8, 2015, 10:34 am I don't think that this is a real Verizon Wireless' number. I don't have an account with Verizon Wireless' and this caller was calling for people who don't live here (don't even know them actually). So I would be very careful with this number. August 9, 2016, 10:07 pm This is a scam they said they were with Verizon and needed to confirm our account with the last 4 digits of my social security number. I don't think so! My husband told her he could not answer that question. The woman told him to have me call her back and when he asked for her number she told him it's on your phone and hung up.
