December 19, 2013, 10:48 pm I suspect that this number is one of those premium long distance billing scams. Called once and hung up. Other research shows it's a one ring callback scamed designed to make you call them back to be legitimately billed for your call and then hope you never bother to check your phone bill and just pay it. They found a way to make you look gulity to your phone company so you'll have to pay the bill. Big money apparantly as the scam is growing. February 1, 2014, 11:48 am A fake number calling from the Dominican Republic trying to trick you into calling them back to be billed. You can probably expect a $19.95 charge or $9 per minute bill when you call the line. They fake a business appearance when you call so you'll stupidly stay curious with the music on hold as they bill you $9 a minute. The point of the call is to hope you will get annoyed by the call and then sustain charges on your phone bill which you may simply pay without checking your bill. This is serious problem in the Caribbean area and some from of callback scam is known to be coming from almost ever Caribbean country. They want to make you curious about who is calling you so you'll call them on their premium rate line while they keep you on the line for as long as they can with elevator music. They will never answer the call once you are on hold, it's designed to keep you on the line for maximum billing. Check your bills closely if you called this line back. March 19, 2014, 7:59 pm I just got my Verizon bills and I was charged $1.99 a minute for this call. I remember making the call and was curious about what it was. I have relatives in the Dominica.
