March 10, 2015, 7:34 pm I got a call claiming to be from the IRS, as a agent named Nikki Johnson and she was saying that I owed money from back taxes and unpaid fines. She also said I would be arrested and civil action would be taken as well if I didn't pay back the taxes. She said tax evasion is serious and I will face big jail time for not paying her immediately. I've done my homework and this is a big scam. The irs doesn't make calls like this. They even said so on the irs website. Caller Company: IRS - Officer Nikki Johnson Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

April 2, 2015, 11:09 pm IRS scammers. Just an extortion attempt with lies about tax evasion and unpaid back taxes. They often have strong Indian accents and are probably in India when they are talking to you. India has a huge problem with call centre crime. They pay people next to nothing to make hugh numbers of calls with most of the biggest US and UK scams right now. Don't worry about this caller. Caller Company: IRS Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

April 14, 2015, 12:58 pm Indian people with English sounding names trying to fake tax collection with threats of criminal prosecution for not paying taxes. They may ask for payment using a prepaid money card and this should be the sign that you are speaking to a criminal. The IRS does not ask for immediate payment over the phone like it's some convienient payment system. You would probably have to write them a check so everything is legit and recorded.
