January 23, 2014, 12:50 pm Yep, scam artists. Responded to a Craigslist ad with an incredibly shady response in broken "engrish" that managed to spell the name of the person they claimed to be ("Allison Lee Wagner") wrong, and included obviously photoshopped images of ID they had clearly stolen from someone else (probably poor "Allison"). June 29, 2014, 12:30 pm This is a complete scam. Signed up for rooster- trying to find a room. The person refused to "show" the apartment and when asking if we could talk on the phone they answered "my phone is broken I had to take it to verizon.com" English is extremely broken. After emailing them back saying I knew they were scamming people they tried sending another fake account to me. That's when I looked up this number! July 26, 2014, 1:16 am This person is claiming they have a room for rent. 146 Hester street in manhattan which is a Chinese restraint. Sent fake pics, ID, everything. Bad English sent off red flags, when I asked when I could see the apartment they said "I told you in the email I am always busy with work" . They want pictures of my drivers license. May 18, 2015, 8:22 am Responded to Alison Wagner's Roomster ad. Was sent some long broken English email reply. If you did a street view of 146 Hester Street you'll notice the email has attached photos of a living room with a balcony showing an outside that doesn't match that location. Sent a red flag to me in the first paragraph alone.
